Emergent Tree Works is the home of Will Koomjian, certified arborist, tree climber, and all around tree fanatic.  Based in Portland, Oregon, ETW specializes in the care and management of big and notable trees. We are a small, independent company with the mission to work directly with clients and tree services to provide the best, most informed arboricultural and tree climbing services available.

 

Emergent Tree Works is not your average tree service.  We are a small company by choice, though we have the skills, experience and resources to manage very large projects and very large trees. We provide informed, independent information to our clients, to create solutions as unique as the trees we work on.

Will says, "I have a passion for conservation. Most arborists and tree services look at young trees to prune and thin them, or offer to cut down old trees. But old trees are the ones doing the heavy lifting as far as the benefits we derive from trees. My focus is on the preservation of large, significant trees and tree groves." He pays attention to the surrounding soil and roots to build biological activity, and provides advice for keeping plants that have the same water needs together.
